Rowing Wales has kindly loaned several single, double and quad boats to the club. These are sliding seat boats and are either ‘elegant’ Olympic class boats or wider, more stable boats, which are much preferred by rowing and rowing enthusiasts. River rowing can use either ‘sweep’ (one rowing per rower) or ‘scull’ (one rowing in each hand) rowing techniques.
The club welcomes experienced river rowers. For beginners or rowers with no experience of skating, the club works with Rowing Wales to provide a series of ‘Learn Rowing’ short courses across 6 weeks. Contact Tom Clarke for the next course date, by visiting the following facebook page:
